While nonprofit organizations work hard to provide valuable services and resources, we work hard to design financial solutions that help them maximize their impact.
National Capital Bank Fund
The National Capital Bank Fund, managed in partnership with the Greater Washington Community Foundation, is a donor-advised fund that supports three main areas of interest – youth, education and social services. Since its inception the fund has made over 500 donations totaling $2.2 million supporting organizations such as Chance for Life; National Capital Treatment and Recovery; BRAWS (Bringing Resources to Aid Women's Shelters); Eastern Senior High School; Virginia Hospital Center Foundation; PathForward, Everyone Home DC; Somerset Elementary School; Fort Dupont Hockey Club; DC Firefighters Burn Foundation; New Hope Housing and My Sister's Place - just to name a few.
NCB Employees in the Community
To enhance the fund’s impact, NCB employees donate their time and resources to these organizations as volunteer committee members, board directors and supporters for various initiatives. Our small and mighty staff donate over 1,300 hours each year. Volunteerism is an important part of the company’s culture and happily embraced by all. NCB employees actively support nonprofit organizations in our local communities and volunteer their time and talent to help make a difference for our fellow neighbors. Featured below are a few of our community partners – Ready, Willing and Working’s Men in Blue and Eastern Senior High School on Capitol Hill.
Announced this year, NCB has a multi-year partnership with Eastern Senior High School, providing sponsorship to the schools International Baccalaureate program. In addition to serving as underwriters for the IB program, our partnership will include job shadowing and volunteer outreach opportunities.
